Pidiendo por la paz, como todos! Asking for peace as we all are!

I am sharing with you this poem from my most recent poetry book, it seems as if I had written it because of the conflicts that are happening today. I pray for peace in Ucraine and the world.

HUMAREDA
Me baño de sangre
no es la mía
el dolor ajeno me cubre

humareda
olor a pólvora
pestilencia desconocida
transpiración
caigo de rodillas
a clamar a un ente
que no es mi dios.

Pido y no sé por qué
miles de cadáveres me rodean
me pierdo
deambulo
todo es muerte
lamento
a dónde se ha ido la brisa del mar
la risa, el canto
el trinar de las aves
todo es oscuridad.
¿Sueño?

SMOLDER
I bathe in blood,
it is not mine
the pain of others covers me,

smolder
smell of gunpowder,
unknown pestilence
perspiration
I fall to my knees,
to cry out to an entity
that is not my god.
I ask and I do not know why,
thousands of corpses surround me,
I get lost,
I wander,
all is death,
lament
where has the sea breeze gone,
the laughter, the singing
the chirping of birds
all is darkness.
Am I dreaming?
